AUFs are Address Unknown Files. We basically just go by to see if the church member still lives there and if they are interested in coming back to church. Sometimes they aren't even members of our Church and they ask, 'How did you get my name?' And I don't know what to say because I have no idea haha the Church is the next FBI.
St Patty's day wasn't even that big here! And we didn't eat anything special here. I can't wait to celebrate ST Patty's next year when I can eat Grandmama's corn beef. Yum(:
Ha! You get to talk to all the different Chinese accents! Man, I think that was the hardest thing to do: understand them all. In our Chinese group there are so many people from different parts of China and one from Malaysia. They all pronounce the same word slightly different so it's a lil difficult to learn Chinese from them haha I remember Sis Lu would teach me with a Xiang Gang (Hong Kong) accent, and Rachel would teach me with a Malay accent, and Angela will teach me in a Guang dong (Canton) accent, Doris and Freddie and Mandy teach me with a Beijing accent. So I get the whole lot haha
My recent convert to the Church, Crystal went to the Young Single Adult Preston Temple trip and she loved it! She got to perform sacred ordinances in behalf of those who have already passed on. I am so happy for her that she had the opportunity to go to the Temple!
This week Sis Salcedo and I taught Liu, Nick, Paisley and Barry(:
Liu: We taught him twice last week because he is off now travelling around Europe. So we taught him the 10 commandments and law of tithing and fasting. He was all good with the 10 commandments but he was hesitant to accept tithing. But he said once he fully believes in God and the Book of Mormon is true then he will accept baptism(:
Right now with Liu, Nick, and Paisley we are teaching them all the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they are all willing to accept it but they for the moment don't believe in God. Sis Salcedo and I have to help them see that they have faith and that they do know that He exists. They don't realise it now, but the hard thing is to help them see it for themselves. Because Paisley is still asking for miracles instead of exercising his faith. Nick isn't continually reading his Book of Mormon. All of them are Scheduled for baptism on the 11th of April.
When we taught Barry, who already had a Christian background, he was very accepting what we were teaching him. He also understood the importance of priesthood authority that our Church has. When we extended the invitation of baptism, he accepted and we set him for the 18th of April(: He is also coming to Book of Mormon class this week! He was really hesitant with prayer and didn't really know how to do it but when he prayed he said, 'Please help me with my new religion, I'd appreciate that.' It was a great prayer(:
And England is springing with SPRING! The daffodils are blooming like crazy! It's really beautiful here!(:
Keep safe and healthy!
