Only 7 months instead of 9. I am having a pre-mee (premature) baby! Well it is not as bad as the other trainers who are just 3 months haha ;p We already know it's a girl. I am going to go through labour tomorrow and get my baby tomorrow! I found this all out last Saturday. I was speechless and brain dead when President Pilkington called because: 1, talking to president is always nerve racking. 2, he said 'train'. 6 New sisters are coming into the mission. So transfer 5, I am staying in Newcastle with my baby! Sis Salcedo is leaving to a place in York. I am sad to see sis salcedo leave but she'll do great in York. Sister Xie and Larson are staying so we will have 3 generations in the flat... me mam Sis Larson, me, and my baby. It's going to be a great 3 months training. One crucial thing I learned in the Trainer meeting is that when you train you are picked for your strengths but also for your weaknesses. And I just hope I can train my trainee to the best of my ability and that she will be a superb missionary.
But other than that news from last week I also had a miracle! Liu, our closest investigator to baptism, came back from vacation! YAY! Before he left, he wasn't sure that God exists. We encouraged him to keep praying to God and to read his Book of Mormon. As we followed-up, he said he didn't read the BoM because he couldn't fit it in his suit case but he did pray to God and received comfort from the Holy Ghost! When he was on his plane to Turkey, it was rickety and there have been a few plane accidents recently so he was scared and anxious about the flight. But after he prayed he received a calm and peaceful feeling and knew that it was from God. Right then and there he gained a testimony that God lives. He passed his baptism interview last Sunday and will be getting baptised this FRIDAY! I am so grateful that I am staying in Newcastle to witness Liu enter in the covenant of baptism.
The weather here has been great for the last 4 days, almost hot. Great for street contacting people are loads happier. This week we were also blessed to see many scenes of England weather. Hail. Sun. Rain. More Hail. And more sun. It was great weather for street contacting, it gave us something to talk about haha
I want a Taiwanese accent! Cuz that sounds better! Besides trying to learn Chinese, I have failed to learn/understand the Northern accent up here hahha This one lady and a man were wondering where's a 'Sparks Direct'? I had no idea what they were saying for 10 minutes and then it clicked. They were saying 'Sport's Direct'! It's like Sports Authority in the States, but it's apparent that I need to keep learning the English language haha
Crystal turned 23! We ate loads of Hotpot and had a splendid time. My recent convert to the Church is not just growing older but Spiritually as well. She came to General Conference and loved it! We also had 4 church investigators come to general conference. Most of them Chinese. They couldn't really understand much but they picked out the important parts and felt the Holy Spirit there.
Like they said at General Conference, Social media is a great way to spread the Gospel(: Also the Sessions feel shorter because, you are in tuned to the Holy Spirit! Like GC felt like an hour for me. And I know what to do now when I get back from my mission, get married hahaha I heard the priesthood session was all about that as well.
It's been a great week, can't wait to show yous me baaby! (some Geordie for ya)
