OKay, i'll keep a look out for the envelope. My mouth will be watering for it. yum yums. Our church investigator Lucas just came back from Taiwan for his dissertation research. and he brought back pineapple biscuits! Straight from Taiwan!(: so I am getting spoiled by the taiwanese food this week(:
Michelle is official! She got confirmed as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints yesterday! Now she has the Holy Ghost as a constant guide and helper, she heads to Spain today and will be having fun with her family. Also, she plans to go to Church in Spain, we found a near by chapel that she will go to, and hopefully her family will go with her. We shall see(:
Hey, that Sundae analogy* is great! I may use that for the future for some Family Home Evening ideas! And for halloween, we shall most definitely do that idea**. They have a football team called Sheffield Wednesday so it works perfectly!
So this week, it's getting colder! Winter is approaching! And I am considered one of the older missionareis in the field, yet I still feel new! It's mental time is flying. Who knew? Cuz a few weeks in the field I thought the mission lasts ages, but about a year out, it's flown by! You know what they say, time goes by when you are having fun(: and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing others closer to Christ and closer to their families is truly fun(:
We had a mission tour this week. It took the whole day, I am stil shattered from the day. We had to go to Leeds and pick up missionaries in Hull. So we woke up at 3:30am to get a bus at 5:05 to get to the Chapel to catch the coach that left the chapel at 6:00 so it was a early morning and all the sisters in our zone had to stay in our flat, total of 8 sisters in one tiny flat and one bathroom. It was an adventure. Stayin awakw for the 6 hour conference was the hardest part but I learned two major things. Strive to develope Charity (the pure love of Christ) and to be willing to sacrifice all to the Lord. Elder Morera and his wife spoke to us. It was really great and spiritually enlightening. i am also working on charity this transfer so the speech on Charity allowed me to know how very important it is in missionary work and as a person.
Also great miracles happened with our church investigators. Lucas hasn't been drinking since arriving in Taiwan! and he came to Church on the following Sunday after his arrival back to England!
Hedwig, she's recognised that the Holy Spirit and Heavenly Father has made her life a lot more successful and happy since she's met with us. She actually surprised us by coming to church. She has a huge essay to complete tonight. And she after meeting with us on friday and working on it on saturday, she concluded that she whould go to church cuz she liked it there and made great progress on her essay. Having the gospel of Jesus Christ in her life is changing her life for the better. And the best part is that she can see it for herself!(:
Things are going great in Sheffield!(: I Love it here, which means I'll probably get transferred!
*today in primary sharing time sis broadhead made ice cream sundae. she put 2 scoops ice cream. all the kids say mmm. then she put caramel. all the kids mmmm. then chocolate. everybody mmmm. then she show ketchup and say is ketchup good? and all the kids say not on sundae. and she squirt ketchup on it and show mustard and ask is mustard good? and everybody say not on sundae. so she squirt mustard on it. then she explain that ketchup and mustard good, just like working and shopping, but not on sunday. everybody loved the lesson and some kids still want to scrape the ketchup and mustard off and eat the ice cream.
