We didn't take our shoes off at Gabriella and Cecilia's cuz, their flat is a dorm. They have to get used to English culture anyway, they study here! ;p Our flat is tiny, but really expensive so they have to stuff 4 sisters in here, I'll show pics next time.
This week was absolutely busy! The local church ward members signed up to feed us everyday of the week! We had to cancel 3 of them to meet with all of our church investigators... We started teaching interested potential investigators, and that added to our teaching pool. Plus more people we find as we Fun Finding in city centre. And they also increased the Fun Finding hours, to 16 instead of 15. So...we really had to use our time wisely if we wanted to reach our goals.
So Sis Pugs and I just realise how busy we are when we were planning for Weekly planning. The numbers of church investigators we have have like quadrupled since I've been here. But the new church investigators we invited to be baptised this past week were Eric, Patty, and Cherry, Thea, and Ding.
Eric and the gang, are all interested about Christianity but their schedules are hectic so meeting with them in the future is going to be super rough! But the lesson with the 3 of them went really well, they are willing to get baptised when they learn more about Christianity and feel the Holy Spirit.
Ding, is the cutest lil China man. And he's so sincere to learn about the Church, he told us that he researched our Church and when people usually do that they never find any good about us...but he looked up the Word of Wisdom health code. And he admired how we don't drink and smoke. So we know keeping the Word of Wisdom won't be a problem in the future! And he also came to Church! Enjoyed all 3 hours! especially the men's priesthood meeting, he like the discussion there.
Hedwig, Gabrielle, Hao, and Candy also came to Church. Hedwig also enjoyed all 3 hours. she felt the magic of the Relief Society lesson on Family History. She was nodding her head in agreement in all what the teacher was saying. So absorbed in that lesson. Gabrielle also enjoyed the Relief Society lesson, talked a lot about families, and she has a particular situation with hers. So she learned something new from it(:
New Young Single Adult church members have moved into the ward! Mate, talking to them makes me so normal, like a normal human being! It was like we were homies from uni haha They Young Single Adults are great! so willing to come out teaching with us(:
Michelle! All dressed in a bright white baptismal jumpsuit! She was so nervous for her baptism, but after the ordinance was performed, she was absolutely glowing, she was extremely happy! Couldn't wait to be confirmed at Church. But sad day, she got sick with a fever and missed Church, but luckily she leaves for Spain the 24th of aug so we have 23rd to Confirm her(: on Sunday morning Sis Pugs and I were so anxious of what happened to Michelle cuz she didn't text me til Church was half over of her situation haha but she's still alive and will be coming to Church to get the gift of the HOLY GHOST! To feel that Spirit 24/7(:
Another crazy thing happened...so we live in a 15 story flat in city centre...on the 12th floor. As we were going back to the flat for some Tea (dinner), we stopped at our floor, walked out of the lift (elevator) doors...sis pugs dropped the keys and it fell straight down the lift shaft! BAHAHA. I just drop laughing by what just happened, absolutely ridiculous. She is straight stunned and stares down the shaft. All you can hear is *clink *clink *clink *clink-keys dropping all the way down to the basement. i was about to pee my skirt at the moment. And sis Pugsley was crying laughing, totally worried about the keys. And I was totally relaxed, just felt that all will be well. A few weeks earlier Sis Pugsley was joking if she dropped the keys down the lift shaft! Haha the next day we did personal study by the concierge office, to explain the situation. Luckily the flat we live in has 2 lifts and the one was out of service, so the lift fixer-people were coming to fix it and they came to our rescue and got our keys for us. I finally got to see what a lift shaft looks like, it's pretty empty with a few rubbish wrappers.
Well that was all the excitement this past week with more to come this week!
Keep feeding that Peach! Yum yums when I get home haha
