I really need to join the water polo club at Brigham Young University when I go back, getting flabby! haha Do they have a girls club?
It's really rewarding when you can see how the Lord works in your life, really impressive. Most people would say it's a coincidence, but there's, like, a slight difference. It's hard to tell between the two, and I am still learning now. There's always impression in my mind when I teach and I follow them 80 % of the time and when I do it's always a good turn out. Sis Pugs even says she was thinking the same thing, so those impressions have definitely been from the Holy Ghost. STill need to practise more tho. Paying attention to the Holy Ghost's influence has made me more self-conscious. I self- evaluate myself more and am learning, more things about myself.
Right now I feel confident with my Chinese. I feel like I can finally communicate and not worry about how to say things and have the Holy Spirit guide me words. This week we had a companion exchange with our Sister Training Leader, Sis Laineenkare-from Finland! She's the nicest person ever. I forgot to take pics with her but I did with Sis Fonua-from Tonga! Me poly sista! So I went to Chesterfield with Sis F and Sis Pugs stayed with Sis L. This was our (pugs and I) first separation from each other..so sad haha it was prepping us for the future tho.
So my first exchange outta my area! Chesterfield is a nice place, very green, small town compared to Sheffield. We taught a lady. She was very kind and we taught her about faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and how with faith, Heavenly Father can give us the perfect help. She wants to get baptised and to quit smoking. This lesson was just thrown on me an hour earlier and so i was kinda lost but, I did my best to just follow the Holy Spirit and when I did, Sis F and I flowed very well. We were bouncing off each other with faith, trials, and miracles.
The next day we had District Meeting and met up with the other Sisters. And swapped. Had an extra pair of hands to help us while fun finding and teaching people so that was nice(:
Later in the week we met with Hedwig! She had loads of questions about Laban in the Book of Mormon, as most Asians do, and why it was better that he should perish than that a nation should dwindle and perish in unbelief. But after resolving that we talked about her baptism and church. She's still very excited to get baptised and since she's done with her English programme they have a 2 week holiday so she plans to go to London and she has planned her holiday around CHURCH! Came to Church last Sunday and will be coming back before next Sunday to come to Church. She was like, 'I like Church, so I don't want to miss it!' Mate, I wish I had that attitude when I was younger haha She's found that love from God and loves to feel the Spirit at Church and at our lessons. This last week she came to church and brought a friend that goes to Newcastle uni! So I was super excited to talk to her and reminisce all about NC and the promised land!
Dean also got interviewed for baptism! It was really quick, meaning that he sincerely understands the basic principles of the Church(: He even wore a suit on Sunday! We had prepped his xili (baptism) 2 weeks before his date so that we can get more church members to come and attend and support him. He's such a cute lil Asian man, who wouldn't want to come to his xili!
Had a really great week(: I am happy doing this work in Sheffield!
Oh and I got the Bento Thai Squid, they missent it to bermuda! Thanks for sending me some, wo de tongban bu xihuan (my companion doesn't like it) haha
