This week, I've been in the flat! We go out in the evenings and have like half days of work. These are some headaches Sis Hart is having. Poor lass. She's a trooper. But all this time in the flat has given me time to reflect on everything-mish life, me purpose, and me growth as a mish. Being in the flat loads is kinda sad way to end your mission, but I haven't even thought about it in that sort of light. Everyone has been asking me, 'Are you going crazy yet?' I admit I've had a few episodes where I was antsy cuz I wasn't doing 'anything'. I've been loads grateful. In any situation there's loads to be thankful for. Always a bright side to things. Since being in the flat I've been taking care of Sis Hart as best I can. I can't cook like her mum but I try haha also the only form of entertainment is each other so things go a lil mental from our crazy personalities haha so we've grown closer thru this challenge and has helped me personally become more selfless and service-minded. We've also cleaned and organised our flat according to our liking(: Now the Holy Spirit is more present(: There literally so much to be thankful for in our everyday challenges and matters. We also been able to teach all our church investigators and find more investigators.
We taught a middle age Chinese woman from Shang Hai, she's already Christian. We gave her a chapel tour and she loved it! She told us, 'Mingtian wo hui lai' 明天我回來 Tomorrow, I come back.' That was great news for us, and she enjoyed sacrament meeting and Gospel Principles Sunday School class. her English isn't so good but I tried to translate best I could. In Gospel Principles, we learned about service and the Good Samaritan story, that was a challenge to translate. haha(:
Li terrified to be baptised cuz he doesn't want to make mistakes later and break a promise with God. He is one who is so engaged and lively about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It's always so fun to teach him and learn from him(:
We also has like an impromptu exchange with the Sister Training Leader, I thought it was pretty useless of an exchange cuz it'd be short and I'd go with the STl-cuz of Sis Hart's condition. There is a new rule from the mish board that exchanges are 24 hours in the STL area, both comps have to go to her area. We cancelled our day's activities. So I went in with it having a bad attitude. Our new STL is Sis Dietrich, haha I served with her for 5 days before I got Pugs as a comp so I knew how she works. It was like a lil reminiscent time together. We knocked doors and we ran into a lass whom I bus contacted earlier in the week. her hubs opened the door and we started talking to him. She heard me voice and popped her head from the other room to see who was at the door and said, 'I know that voice.' I guess me accent hasn't changed much haha but we were able to get a return appt with her and the other sisters will take care of her(: We were also able to teach about the Lord's health code, the Word of Wisdom. We taught Li about it earlier in the week so I was well prepared. And when you are prepared, ye shall not fear. The Holy Spirit was so strongly prompting me what to say and teach. I found that it was a great lesson. So even tho I started with a bad attitude, I was grateful for the chance to go on exchange(: There's always good in any sort of situation(:
I think I've been happier these last few days as well as I've been contemplating me days, counting me blessings(:
Hope yous are well, watch how you go
