Nothing (clothes, bags, books, etc.) is broken yet. But my boots have a hole in the bottom of them, I was wondering why my shoes were wet when it rained haha but I fixed it. Super glue and plastic. Works pretty well, it keeps my feet dry(:
Mom will have to talk to me using simple Chinese. I've noticed that each Chinese person I meet have a different accent. And it takes me a while to understand their accent! Sis Lu would teach me one word and then Sis Wu would teach me the same word but pronounce it differently. It's so confusing haha It will probably take time to get used to the Taiwan accent. All our church members are from China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
For community service, we just proof read the school papers, we try to understand it but when we don't we just circle it and write 'clarify' or something.
The boy church members love basketball so I was wondering if you can get me some good basketball quotes from Kobe, Derek Rose, Lebron, Rondo, and Stefan Curry.
So this week we had baptism interviews with Crystal and Mandy. Their interviews were on different days and Mandy was so nervous but she passed(: When we were going over the interview questions with Crystal, we asked her 'Are you willing to obey the Law of Chastity?' She flat out said 'No' Sis Larson and I got so shocked and were just immobile. Soon after her comment, she corrected herself. She got confused over the word obey haha it was a good laugh. She also passed her interview.
We also met with Martin, our BBC, with Darrell, a recent convert to the Church and an English church member. We taught lesson 2-Plan of Salvation. It was a great lesson, Darrell shared why he liked the Plan of Salvation and what comfort it gives him. Martin also asked Darrell about his conversion story and how he initially investigated the Church. As Darrell shared his experience, the Spirit was so strong and Martin said he could relate to Darrell's experience. Darrell was a huge blessing, and a fantastic member to bring. We invited Martin to have tea at the Marsh's (senior missionary couple)on Sunday. Tea went great at their house. Elder Marsh was very friendly with Martin and Martin could feel the Spirit of their home. He said he enjoyed it very much and has never been invited to someone's house for a family dinner.
Last Wednesday we did service for the Hancocks. They are moving soon so we helped them pack their kitchenware. It was quite fun, I like packing. It's a big tetris game.
This week is an all zone preparation day, we shall see how it goes today. And then we have 2 baptisms on Valentine's day! Yay!
I hope the family is well.
