Is appendicitis when it ruptures and you need to disinfect the whole intestine area? I hope that Jiefu's doing well. and poor Monte, had to be all alone.
I put salt in my root beer today for my cough and I got some weird stares from my district but whatever aha
Is mom okay? still the body aches from working right? I know that you guys will be okay. The Lord will take care of you guys while I am out in full service doing his work(: He will take care of you guys.
Choir is the best spiritual experience, the music is so graceful and invites the Spirit, for future missionaries I would recommend going to choir because the teacher is hilarious and the songs are amazingly sung even it you cant sing. So at last weeks devotional was broadcasted because a general authority came to talk to us, it was Elder Richard G Scott. So the whole thing was filmed and during the choir's song, I was on camera twice! Not just a random sister singing but I was zoomed in on and focused on. I have no idea why they would chose me to zoom in on because, I wasn't even wearing anything cute, I was wearing no make up, and I was lip synching part of it. I guess my lip synching skills are up to par! ahaha But I enjoyed Elder Scott's talk about prayer and how to pray and if Heavenly Father answers me. I heard it was the same talk he gave at regional conference.
Oh today our district class was chosen to host a Methodist Reverend. This Preacher was big stuff because he was asked to become like the "pope" of the methodist organization. But he declined it and recommended someone else. He visited while we were practicing our Mandarin. He was very impressed how well we picked up the language in 2.5 weeks. He also gave us really good advice on how to teach people about Christ, he basically said to love them and don't get discourage when people don't accept your message because we are prepping the inquirers for the next missionaries. So the MTC has visitors and the visitors always want to see the mandarin missionary classes. So Elder Richard G Hinckley is in charge of arranging the visit and the boss man of the Mandarin class recommended us, the newbies to host the Reverend. We are also informed that we get to host the Taiwan visa guy. Idk his title but he's really important for us because he's the one that will allow missionaries into Taiwan. Missionaries that are heading to Taiwan are being delayed right now and being sent elsewhere temporarily.
I'll try out learning the characters, so far I can write wo, ni and my name. I just don't know which characters to learn first. There's SO many and I know that it'd be impossible to learn them all right now.
I have realized that living with and seeing the 9 missionaries in my district is going to be a hard and LONG time. I've made good friends with everyone here. I know most times it's how I react and I need to change my attitude but it is a hard thing to do. I love my companion, we have the most functional companionship in our district(:
MTC food is getting so bland. They use all the same ingredients and call it something different each day. I'm extremely bored of the food. The best things here are the salad tho the meat might be semi frozen at times. the soups are mostly good. oh but the best thing I've eaten here are NAVAJO TACOS! it was fried bread with chili, lettuce and cheese! it was heavenly, and I had two. the bread was the best part. soft and crunchy. Oh and we have BYU Ice cream every Wednesdayand Sunday! so that's awesome too but everything else is eh.
Sister lew and iris might see each other then, they're in the same mission! Popo shoes don't fit, they're big.
I need plain white and black round neck short sleeve shirts. a long plain black sleeve shirt. the face nair. I need a family pic to show my investigators. no maxi skirts because we are not supposed to follow the trends.
Oh there's a FALS scholarship at BYU that I would get after I come back from my mission, I just need to sign up in a Mando class. you should look it up(: oh and can you sell my books too? thanks(: if you find more cardigans for me that would be awesome
oh and we study traditional Chinese characters, not simplified.
okay until next week
